Alrighty. This batch is mostly House icons. More specifically, they're from episode 3x01 Meaning which means, if you haven't seen the episode yet, these are spoilery icons!

And I'd just like to say I hate text. Text and I do not get along. So I apologize if the text on my icons sucks. I can't seem to figure it out. That's why I offer textless versions of my icons. Or I don't even bother to put text on them at all. Plus, colourful icons are all the rage anyway.

Fabric

Okay, so I've decided to start journaling because jr__nal has sparked some strong creative energy in me.

So, there will probably be journaling-type things in here from time to time. Photographs of pages as I complete them or possibly resources/ideas for other people who want to journal as well.

What I bring to you first are photographs of the fabric I purchased today.

TIP Check out your local fabric store and ask them about their remnants. I was able to buy all of these fabrics for SUPER CHEAP (a few cost less than 10 cents!) and you're not left with a lot of waste, either. When it comes to journaling you obviously don't want your pages to look the same so you don't want to pay for a lot of one material. Remnants make me happy.

note the material I laid down to use as the background for the photos (the white with green images) is also a fabric I bought as a remnant. It's tissue paper with green retro images on it and it's covered in thin plastic like a shower curtain. So cool and potentially versatile.

I'm share the photos here because if anyone else is interested in journaling and you see some fabric you like, let me know and I'll see about sending some to you. I was thinking about maybe finding other people who are interested in trading fabric, but who knows.

First new post since revamping my journal.

This journal is no longer friends only. I've removed everyone from the friends list, but feel free to keep this journal friended :)

Was feeling in a goofy mood this morning while chatting online and felt like cropping some of the comics I've been saving. Here they are.

I don't want you to credit me in the keywords of these icons. I didn't make them, all I did was crop the comics from which they came. Therefore, instead of crediting me, it'd be faboo if you just throw in the comic's name, or in the new 'comment' box on your icon page, put in the name of the LJ feed for the comic. All information behind the cut with the icons.

Cleaning Up

Wow. It's been awhile. And it's time for some ~~Spring~~ Summer cleaning.

I've decided that I don't want to waste space on my server for a lot of the old icons I've made. I've learned a lot since then and I don't like how my old icons look.

So over the next few days I'm going to be taking them down and getting rid of the entries that are full of broken images.

Any old icons that I repost will be backdated so as not to flood your FL.

My old icons are mostly Johnny Depp related and a few are from the LOTR movies.

I'll hopefully find inspiration to redo most of the Johnny ones because he's brilliant and fantastic and yeah. *g*

I'm also contemplating making this journal a community so it's easier for me to post stuff to. It won't change how things are dont so don't worry about it. Am also going to make the journal public, more than likely. And with the new keyword feature, icons should be much easier to find. *g* So I'm going to go back and put keywords in all my old icon posts once I get them cleaned up.

Requests

With inspiration lacking these days I figure, why not fill some requests?

So, the first 5 people to request an icon will get one.

The next 5 people may get one if I find the time.

When you request, you must:

link me to a picture (upload it to your own server or link me to a page, not directly to the picture)

give me some idea of the words you want on it (don't make what you want it to say too long)

possibly suggest a style you like based on an icon I've made (link to a previous post of mine and give me the icon number. Don't hotlink my icons!)

Keeping those three things in mind, request away.
